On the day we lose an hour of time Secret Society return it with their latest album 'Extra Hour'. This 60 minute continuous mix of music is all about that feeling of possibilities that come with extra time, the best example of which being when the clocks go back. Now usually this is when people, especially adults, take an extra hour in bed but it is also a time for second chances. The album presents a solution how to spend this time which if followed makes how we now relate to time itself redundant. This work and an upcoming installation at a lake in Co. Roscommon, which will explore this idea further, is inspired by the teachings of the late 20th Century Russian mystic Gurdjieff who believed we live our lives in a state of sleep.
